CLAIMS PROCESS
On average the claims process takes six to nine months to
complete. If possible, wait until the claims process is complete
before making repairs. Any significant repairs to your siding can
adversely affect the outcome of your claim. The process can vary
depending on the type of siding on the property.

| Claims Process |
Stage 1: A preliminary inspection is done on the home,
information is gathered to support the claim, and the claim is
submitted to SCS Headquarters for final review. (1-10 Days)
Stage 2: The claim is sent to the Independent Claims
Administrator for review and approval. (4-6 Weeks)
Stage 3: An adjuster from a court appointed Independent
Inspection Company will perform an on-site inspection of the
property. NOTE: We request that the adjuster contact us before the
inspection takes place, however, we are not always notified. (1-3
Months)
Stage 4: The results of the on-site inspection will be mailed to you, at which
time you may accept the offer or request a second inspection from an
alternate inspector. NOTE: If you request a second inspection you
will start over in stage three. (1-3 Months)
Stage 5: The offer is accepted and a settlement check
is issued. (4-8 Weeks) |
